Lily is grateful for the invitation
with the Dorsets because being away from New York makes her Gus
problem feel a lot less relevant. Also, she is well liked in Europe
so she loves that. She is supposed to try to get the Dorsets invited
to things and to destract George Dorset, but many of the high up
people don't like Bertha so her job is getting more difficult. Carey
is doing the same job for the Brys, but then the Brys got mad at
Carey, so Carey talked with Lily and passed along that opportunity to
her. Lily immediately makes nice with Mrs Brys so things are good for
the moment, that is until she returns to the Dorset's yacht and sees
George upset that Bertha didn't return til the morning and how he
wants a divorce, regardless of what Lily says. Then when Bertha
hears, she blames it all on Lily so that happened I guess. Lily knows
it is ridiculous but doesn't know what she can do about the
accusations so just leaves it.
