So. Sunday Morning at Bellamont. The
goodie-goodies are heading off to church, a group that of course
includes Percy Gryce. Lily was thinking this could be the perfect
opportunity to finally get him to propose, because what makes a man
want to marry a woman more than seeing her in modest clothing praying
at church? Thats right – nothing. Except, Lily ruined that plan
because she wanted to sleep instead. She convinced herself that it
was all good because now Percy will just miss her and then love her
even more when they walk later. So Lily goes downstairs and runs into
Seldon and Bertha in the library, obviously interrupting something.
Lily says she is walking to church and leaves really mad that Seldon
obviously came for Bertha. On her way to church, Seldon catches up to
her and they start flirting. Then they see the company that actually
went to church approaching on their way back and Seldon asks Lily to
walk with him later. Even though she already made plans to walk with
Percy. Sounds scandalous.
